HP Cong to gain from experience of Shinde: Virbhadra

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today welcomed the appointment of senior Congress leader Sushil Kumar Shinde as the party's in-charge in the state and said the party would gain from his experience.

Addressing a meeting of the state executive of the Congress here, Singh said organisational elections strengthen the party and it should be held regularly the enthuse the workers.

Interacting with the state Congress leaders, Shinde urged them to stand united and defeat the BJP in the upcoming Assembly polls, and asserted that there was no rift within the party in the state.

Addressing the meeting, state Congress chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukkhu alleged that it was becoming difficult to manage the party affairs.
 

He said the party was taking the achievements and policies of the state government to the people.

Shinde is slated to tour various districts of the state this month and meet district and block-level workers ahead of the Assembly polls.
