The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association, facing flakes for its alleged involvement in an illegal land allotment case, has run into another trouble with the Registrar, Cooperative Societies issuing a show cause notice to it over some "violations" under Societies Act.
Official sources said the state cricket body has been given 15 days time to reply to the notice for violation of the rules under the Societies Act for taking further action against the HPCA, headed by BJP MP Anurag Thakur, the son of former Chief minister P K Dhumal.
The state Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau had filed a case of alleged irregularities and cheating against the HPCA on August 1 this year and its affairs was one of the main issues blown up by the Congress in the assembly polls.

Sources said the HPCA had filed its reply on August 26 to the queries raised by the RCS, but it found the reply "unsatisfactory".
They said the show-cause notice was primarily based on the alleged violations of Sections 44 and 41 of the HP Societies Registration Act, 2006, committed by the HPCA.
Sources said the main issue was whether the HPCA could have changed its status from a society to a company without the consent of the government when it had been provided 49,118.25 square metres of prime land by the government in Dharamsala for the construction of an international stadium.
In its reply to the Registrar of Cooperative Societies earlier, the cricket body had claimed that since there was no stake either of the state government or the Centre in the shape of grant-in-aid or financial assistance, the HPCA had not made any violation.
It is alleged that the previous regime leased the village common land to HPCA and it not only changed the land use but also constructed a luxury hotel on the land in question.
