Press Trust of India Shimla
BJP MP Anurag Thakur today accused the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh of stalling implementation of central projects and alleged that no progress has been made in respect of the 61 national highways sanctioned by the Centre.

"Union Road Transport and Highways and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari had announced sanctioning of 61 new national highways for Himachal Pradesh at a rally in Solan in June 2016 and the state government received the notification in this regard in September, but till date no Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been prepared," he said.

He said stalling of central development projects did not augur well for the state and alleged that the "development of the state has been suffering under the leadership of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh".

"Making announcements and then backtracking have become a habit of the chief minister...He announces Dharamsala as the state's second capital one day and on the other day says that no offices would be shifted to Dharamsala," he said in a statement.
