Himachal Pradesh Governor Urmila Singh and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today congratulated Kailash Satyarthi for winning Nobel Peace Prize for his tireless efforts in rescuing scores of children from forced labour.

"Satyarthi is the most deserving person for this rare honour and it is an award for his crusade for understanding the plight of millions of children," the Chief Minister said.

A great follower of Mahatma Gandhi, Satyarthi deserves kudos for running 'Bachapan Bachao Andolan' NGO and we all need to support his NGO and come forward to protect the rights of the children and shaping their destiny for better, he said.

The Chief Minister said "more such NGOs should come forward to extend helping hand to the orphans and together we can make a difference and support the cause of Satyarthi".

Governor Urmila Singh also congratulated Satyarthi for his efforts in protecting child rights.
