HP minister announces discount on luxury tempo traveller bus

Himachal Pradesh Transport Minister G S Bali today announced discount on Volvo and luxury tempo traveller bus fares in the state.

Fares of 12 and 18 seater tempo traveller buses would be reduced by 50 per cent, while 15 per cent discount would be given in Volvo buses from January 15 to March 31, he said.

Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has made big strides in the last four years. It has started bus services on 100 new routes and the number of buses has increased to 3,200, Bali said.

The state has received Rs 5 crore from the Centre for opening driving schools and Rs 20 crore is being spent on construction of bus stands at Chamba, Rohroo, Kotali, Dalerh, the minister said.
 

He said free WiFi facility has been provide at 18 HRTC bus stands and it would be extended to 13 more stands.

Meanwhile, Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh wished people on New Year's eve.

The Governor expressed hope the new year would bring happiness and prosperity in lives of people and the state would witness more progress in all fields.

The Chief Minister wished people a very happy and prosperous year.

He said with hard work and dedication of people, the state will make rapid strides in all spheres and achieve new heights in the coming year.
