Himachal Pradesh Transport Minister G S Bali today laid the foundation stone for a 20-cr inter-state bus terminal here.

The terminal will have air-conditioned waiting halls for men and women. It will also house general stores, retiring rooms for employees and a food court, he said.

"This state-of-the-art bus terminal will be built in two phases. The first phase is expected to be completed in six months," Bali said, adding that a flyover will be constructed adjacent to it for smooth vehicular movement.

Under-construction bus stands at Chirgaon, Swarghat, Badoh and Kotli are nearing completion, he said.

Bali was accompanied by state urban development minister Sudhir Sharma. The event was also attended by city Mayor Rajni Vyas, Deputy Mayor Davinder Jaggi and others.
