Himachal Pradesh Minister Mukesh Agnihotri's Personal Security Officer allegedly shot a youth at a Shimla hotel over a petty fight, police said.

The incident took place when Kashish, who had come to state-run Hotel Holiday Home with his friend Abhay to celebrate his birthday, asked the driver of the minister's car, to give way for his vehicle.

"The minister's PSO, Pankaj Sharma, and the driver manhandled me and Abhay and when we tried to flee, the PSO opend fire and I received bullet injuries on my foot," Kashish, who was admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital, claimed.

A case of attempt to murder under Section 307 and other relevant sections of IPC was registered against Sharma and the driver and they were arrested.

Both the parties have registered cross FIRs in the incident and investigations were underway, police said.

Agnihotri said that as soon as he came to know about the incident, he asked his driver and PSO to surrender before police.
