The Himachal Pradesh Police will take the help of their counterparts in Punjab to crack down on drugs and mining mafias, an official said today.
"I will be meeting SP Pathankot and SP Hoshiarpur to chalk out a plan to work together," Kangra SSP Santosh Patial said. This meet will be organised in the first week of February.
Patial said Kangra police has registered 42 cases of illegal mining in the last 12 days.
Yesterday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said drug peddling was a serious challenge for the police and a concrete plan was needed to tackle it.
