The Himachal Pradesh police's cyber crime unit has warned people against revealing their bank and identity details, including PAN and Aadhaar numbers, to unknown and fraudelent callers.

It has come to the police's notice that some people are making calls posing as bank representatives and seeking information on PAN and Aadhaar numbers and credit card details, Superintendent of Police Cyber Crime Sandeep Dhawal said in a release.

If someone receives such calls, the person should immediately bring the matter to the local police or the cyber crime unit's notice through call or e-mail, he said.

The fake callers talk in a manner that innocent people fall prey to their designs and part with information, the officer said.

Thesecriminals also give allurements to seek details, he added.
