HP reach 195/1 against Jharkhand

Opener Ankush Bains struck an unbeaten 110 as Himachal Pradesh reached a steady 195 for one in their first innings on the opening day of their Ranji Trophy Group C cricket match against Jharkhand here today.

Put into bat by Jharkhand after losing the toss, Himachal rode on Bains' hundred and Ankit Kalsi's 148-run partnership on a low-scoring day.

Prashant Chopra was the only wicket to fall today, bagged by medium-pacer Rituraj Singh, who gave away 40 runs in his 17 overs.
