HP reels under cold wave conditions, snowfall likely tomorrow

Intense cold wave conditions continued in Himachal Pradesh with heavy rain and snowfall predicted in parts of the state tomorrow.

The mid and higher hills are expected to receive heavy rains or snowfall over next 48 hours while wet spell with rains or snow at many places would continue till December 14, the local MeT office said.

The maximum temperature fluctuated marginally and Una was the hottest in the region with a maximum temperature of 27.4 degree Celsius.

Sundernagar, Solan and Nahan recorded a high of 22.5, 21.8 and 21.6 degree Celsius respectively.

Bhuntar, Dharamsala, Shimla and Kalpa recorded 9.4, 18.8 , 17.4 and 15.0 degree Celsius respectively.
 

The minimum temperatures also rose marginally and Keylong and Kalpa recorded a low of minus 2.0 degree Celsius and zero degree Celsius respectively.

Manali, Bhuntar, Sundernagar, Solan, Shimla, Dharamsala, Una, Palampu, and Nahan recorded a low of 0.4, 3.0, 4.3, 6.0, 6.6, 6.8, 7.0, 8.0 and 10.3 degree Celsius respectively.

The dry spell is continuing in the state which received 89 per cent deficit rainfall post monsoon from October 1 to December 10.
