Hr Guv appoints new VCs for Kurukshetra, Indira Gandhi varsity

Haryana Governor and Chancellor of state universities Kaptan Singh Solanki today appointed new Vice-chancellors for state-based two varsities, official said today.

Following a request from Vice-chancellor of Kurukshetra University Lt. Gen. D D S Sandhu, Solanki relieved Sandhu from his duties and ordered Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works (Building and Roads), Hardeep Kumar to take over as the new Vice-chancellor of the University with immediate effect in addition to his present duties till further orders, an official spokesperson said.

The Governor also relieved the Vice-chancellor of Rewari-based Indira Gandhi University, Mohinder Kumar, from his duties following his request and ordered the Commissioner, Gurgaon Division, D Suresh, to take charge as VC with immediate effect in addition to his present duties till further orders, he said.
