As the indefinite strike called by the Haryana Roadways employees entered its third day today, state DGP K P Singh asked police officials to maintain law and order and ensure that no harm is caused to public property.
If anyone is found doing so, action should be initiated against them, he said.
Singh said nobody should be allowed to stop any private bus from operating.

Replying to a question, the DGP said that according to the reports received so far, the strike had been peaceful and there was no report of any untoward incident or any coercion.
The employees are protesting peacefully and no one has tried to stop any private bus, he added.
As the strike continued for the third day, public transport buses remained off road, inconveniencing commuters across the state.

Over 13 lakh passengers travel in the state roadways buses daily and about 4,000 buses, which include the luxury Volvo bus service, have come to a halt in the state since Monday evening.
