Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar today said he would undertake the fourth phase of his 'Cycle Yatra' beginning August 21 from Sonepat district.

He said the fourth phase of his "Haryana Bachao, Privartan Lao Cycle Yatra" would begin from Kundli (Sonepat district) on August 21 and conclude at Sonepat city on August 24. After the fourth phase, the yatra would have covered 30 of the 90 assembly segments, he told reporters here.

Tanwar said in this phase he would cover all the six assembly segments of Sonepat district.

Replying to a question, Tanwar said that only hardworking and dedicated workers would get party ticket for the 2019 Lok Sabha and assembly elections in Haryana.

He asserted that "parachute" candidates would not get tickets from the Congress.

He also said that the Congress would not project any leader as the chief ministerial candidate ahead of next years assembly elections in Haryana.

The party's priority is to throw out the "inefficient" BJP government, he added.

To another question, Tanwar said that there was no groupism within the state unit of the Congress.

He said all leaders were working for further strengthing the party.

Attacking the M L Khattar government, he alleged that it had "disappointed" all the sections of the society.

"This government has failed on all fronts," he said, adding that a Congress panel was currently in the process of making a charge-sheet of various alleged irregularities, especially in mining and recruitments, during the BJP rule about which people would be informed in due course of time.
