Hry govt approves Rs 51 cr compensation for damage to crops

The Haryana government today sanctioned Rs 51.89 crore to be paid to farmers of five districts as compensation for damage to crops caused due hailstorm in March last year.

Finance minister Capt Abhimanyu said that a proposal to this effect has been approved by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar for the farmers of Bhiwani, Fatehabad, Hisar, Sirsa and Jind districts.

He said that while a sum of Rs 19.35 crore has been approved for Bhiwani district, Rs 23.11 crore for Fatehabad district, Rs 43.62 lakh for Hisar, Rs 1.68 crore for Sirsa and Rs 7.31 crore for Jind district.
