The Haryana government would arrange for two trains from Ambala and Sirsa on December 22 to facilitate pilgrims headed to Patna Sahib gurdwara in Bihar to mark the concluding ceremony of the 350th 'Prakashotsav' of Guru Gobind Singh, a top official said today.

The closing ceremony of the 350 birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Sikh Guru, would be held from December 22 to 25 at the Patna Sahib gurdwara.

Presiding over a meeting of officers of the district administration through video conference, Sameer Pal Srow, Director, Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs and Languages and Grievances Departments, said the city magistrates in each district would be the nodal officers overseeing the implementation of the scheme.

Srow said the respective district level committee constituted for this purpose would select up to 140 pilgrims from each district.

"The train from Ambala will leave at 10:30 am on December 22 and reach Patna at 3 pm on December 23, via Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat and Delhi. Similarly, the train from Sirsa will also leave at the same time on December 22 and reach Patna at 5 pm on December 23, via Hisar, Bhiwani, Rohtak and Delhi," he was quoted as saying in an official release.

Srow said adequate arrangements would be made for food and accommodation of pilgrims. "Interested pilgrims can submit their applications at the office of Deputy Commissioner concerned by 5 pm on December 19," he said.
