The Haryana government has directed civil surgeons to collect data as to how many beds have been utilised to admit BPL patients at private hospitals, which were allotted land at concessional rates.
All civil surgeons have been directed to gather data of the last two-years from private hospitals in their respective districts, a health department official said.
These hospitals were provided land at concessional rates on the condition that they would provide either free treatment or treatment at concessional rate to poor patients, he said.

In some cases, a few beds were reserved for BPL and poor patients, he said, adding they were given land through agencies like the Haryana Urban Development Authority.
The data would be used for health system planning and integrate efforts with health care provision of the state, he added.
