Hry police arrests criminal wanted in double murder case

The Haryana Police has arrested a wanted criminal, accused in a double murder case, from Dulhera village in Jhajjar

district.

The arrested accused Abhimanyu alias Monu, who carried a reward of Rs one lakh on his head, had killed two persons after they engaged in a brawl over parking a car in Goyala Kalan village in June 2017, the police said, adding the accused had been absconding since then.

The arrest was made today after a police team noticed that a man was trying to flee in suspicious circumstances after seeing them. Acting swiftly, he was nabbed by the team and identified as Abhimanyu.

 

"During interrogation, the accused confessed the crime," the police said.

A country made pistol was recovered from his possession after the arrest today. The accused was produced before the court from where he was sent to judicial custody. Further investigation is under process, he added.

The police said three other criminal cases were also registered against Abhimanyu in Jhajjar district.
