Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today announced that state government would construct transit accommodations across all districts in a phased manner to meet the housing requirements of employees near their work places.

"The triple-storey houses or flats would be constructed on the available land near rest houses," Khattar said.

In the first phase, transit accommodations would be built at remote areas so that employee did not have to travel too far to reach their offices.

"By staying near their work place, the employees would be able to add to their work efficiency and this way provide better facilities to the people in the state," CM added.

He also said a common mess facility would also be provided for officials living alone.

While reviewing the progress of various e-services and other schemes through video-conferencing with Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners and Additional Deputy Commissioners here, the Chief Minister also directed the officials to make necessary arrangements for opening of at least 10 Vyayamshalas in each assembly constituency.

"We have to start Vyayamshalas in 1000 villages so that those residing in rural areas also imbibe the habit of daily exercise like in urban areas," he added.

The Chief Minister also asked them to identify suitable land in their respective areas. Sports stadia could also be utilized for this purpose, he added.
