As a part of government initiative for implementation of Haryana Enterprises Promotion Policy, 2015, the state pollution control board has developed a new policy for inspection of industries and projects as per provisions of different Environment Acts and Rules.

As per the new policy, schedule of mandatory inspections has been conceived in such a manner that only less than 20 per cent of the total industries covered under consent management will be inspected in any financial year, a spokesman for Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) said here today.

"Selection of industries will be done through a special software developed for randomised selection of the units, which will be inspected in any particular month," he said.

This selection will be based on computerised risk assessment considering different compliance requirements and prevailing categorisation of industries, the spokesman said.

In accordance with the new policy, HSPCB is starting its process of selection of units to be inspected during April 2016 in the presence of the representatives of Industrial Associations of Panchkula, on March 30 at the Board's head office at Panchkula, he said.

"This exercise will be performed every month through computerised draw," he added.

Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) is hopeful of providing efficient, convenient, transparent and integrated electronic services to the entrepreneurs facilitating the "ease of doing business".
