Huge quantity of explosives recovered, one held

Police today recovered huge quantity of explosives from Kanklapahari village in Birbhum district of West Bengal and arrested one person in this connection.

The stock of ammunition - about 55,000 pieces of detonators and 11,000 gelatine sticks - were recovered from the spot under Nalhati police station area in the district, SP N Sudheerkumar said.

Police have seized two vehicles and arrested one person, he said, adding, further investigation into the matter is underway.
