Actor Hugh Jackman has kick-started 2015 ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, after it swept across the Internet last year.

The 46-year-old "The Wolverine" star took to Twitter and posted a video where he is seen sitting in a bathtub while wearing a white dress shirt and black bow-tie.

He exclaims "bring it on" before pouring a bucket of ice water over his head, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"I know I'm late but this is the 2015 ALS Ice Bucket Challenge #MND #AUS #IceBucketChallenge @mndaustralia," he wrote.

Kicking off in 2014, the Ice Bucket Challenge sought to raise awareness of ALS and collect donations to further ALS research and services.

Nominated participants had the option of donating to the ALS Association or douse themselves with buckets of ice water. They would then nominate three people to take up the cause.

Last year too, Jackman, accompanied by the cast and crew of "Pan" took up the cause and had posted a video showing them getting icy from the set.
