HUL's Samir Singh elevated to global role at Unilever

FMCG major Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) today announced a senior level change with its Personal Care head Samir Singh being elevated as Global Executive Vice President, Skin Cleansing at its parent firm Unilever.

Singh, who is currently HUL's Vice President & Executive Director, Personal Care would be replaced by Sandeep Kohli who is presently Vice President, Myanmar, Cambodia & Laos, HUL said in a statement.

Commenting on the development HUL CEO and MD Sanjiv Mehta said: "The new appointments reflect the company's commitment towards leadership development and our tradition of leveraging talent across markets. This also emphasises the importance of HUL and of India for Unilever".
 

Under Singh's leadership HUL's Personal Care (PC) business not only consolidated its position as the country's largest PC company, but became one of the fastest growing beauty businesses in India, it said.

He had joined Unilever in 1997 and has worked across many brands including Fair & Lovely, Vaseline and Ponds.

Meanwhile, Kohli has worked across India, UK and the high potential markets of South East Asia and Australasia (SEAA).
