Humayun Kabir gets posting after a month in Compulsory waiting

After a month in compulsory waiting, former Murshidabad Superintendent of Police Humayun Kabir today got his posting as Commanding Officer, Special Striking Force (SSF), Barrackpore.

Kabir was transferred from the post of SP Murshidabad on October 11 and was replaced by C Sudhakar, who was the deputy commissioner (detective department) in Barrackpore police commissionerate.

In a reshuffle in IPS cadre, three other senior police officials were also transferred in West Bengal today.

State Secretariat sources said Subhasis Chatterjee, Advisor (Security and Vigilance, WBSEDCL) has been transferred as DIG Armed Police in North Bengal.

Deputy Commandant 2nd Battalion, State Armed Police, Barrackpore, Shibani Tewari has been transferred as Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Special Branch, Bidhannagar Commissionerate.
 

She was replaced by Awadhesh Pathak, who was Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ), West Midnapore, the sources said.
