Jennifer Lawrence, who is nominated at the Oscars for her role in "Joy", says it is great to be recognised along side other amazing women in the best actress category.

"I am beyond grateful and humbled by this nomination. I feel incredibly honored to be recognized among the other amazing women in this category. Joy is an incredibly inspiring story about an ordinary woman who does extraordinary things," Lawrence said in a statement.

"For me, working with David O Russell has been nothing short of extraordinary, and I share this nomination with him as well as our incredible supporting cast. I could not be more proud to be a part of this film and thankful to the producers and Fox for their unyielding support," she added.

The young star earned her fourth nomination in the best actress category for the biopic. She has already won an Oscar for "Silver Linings Playbook", her previous collaboration with director David O Russell.

This year, she will compete with Cate Blanchett in "Carol", Brie Larson in "Room", Charlotte Rampling in "45 Years" and Saoirse Ronan in "Brooklyn" on February 28.

Fox Star Studios is releasing "Joy" in India on January 22.
