It was a humid day in the national capital with the mercury settling within normal levels today.
The MeT office has forecast rains and thunderstorm accompanied by a thunder squall to occur over Delhi and adjoining areas from May 20 to 22.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 40.2 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year while the minimum temperature was pegged at 27.1 degrees, a notch above the normal, said a MeT department official.

The MeT has forecast overcast conditions along with thunder and lightning for tomorrow.
"Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 41 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius, while the maximum remained at 41.4 degrees Celsius.
