Humid day in Delhi; mercury hovers above normal

It was a partly cloudy day in the national capital today with temperatures hovering a little above the normal level amidst high humidity in the air.

According to the MeT department, the day temperature was recorded at 32.1 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal, while the city registered a minimum of 17.8 degrees, which was two points above the normal.

A MeT official said that humidity levels in the city oscillated between 35 and 90 per cent during the day.

"There will be a partly cloudy sky tomorrow and maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to settle at 32 and 17 degrees... Thundery conditions could occur from the afternoon onwards," he said.
 

The maximum and minimum yesterday were recorded at 31.7 and 19.8 degrees, respectively.
