Humid days ahead for Delhiites with monsoon likely to withdraw

Delhiites today experienced humid weather and the condition is likely to worsen in coming days with the MeT officials predicting withdrawl of the monsoon from northwest.

"Delhi is unlikely to receive any more rains as the monsoon is expected to start withdrawing from northwest India within three-four days," Director of India Meteorological Department, B P Yadav, said.

In extreme humid conditions, the maximum temperature today settled at 36.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal, 0.5 degrees more than yesterday's maximum.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.

According to the MeT department officials, the humidity oscillated between 40 per cent and 86 per cent, making life uneasy for Delhiites.
 

"The skies will be partly cloudy. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 36 and 25 per cent," the weatherman said.

The current monsoon deficit of Delhi stands at 40 per cent.
