Humid weather conditions prevail in Punjab, Haryana

Humid weather conditions today prevailed in most parts of Punjab and Haryana.

The maximum temperatures hovered around normal at most places in both the states.

Union Territory Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 34.4 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal, a MeT department report said here.

In Haryana, Ambala recorded a maximum of 34.6 degrees Celsius and Hisar's maximum was 37.2 degrees Celsius.

Narnaul recorded a maximum of 35.9 degrees Celsius.

In Punjab, Amritsar and Ludhiana recorded identical temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius, upto three notches above normal while Patiala recorded a high of 35.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
 

The MeT predicted possibility of light to moderate rain/thundershowers at a few places in Punjab and Haryana in the next 24 hours.
