Humidity level crosses over 90 pc

Delhi registered extreme humidity level today bringing discomfort to the residents of the national capital.

Though the city saw an overcast sky, the humidity level shot up over 90 per cent, the MeT department said.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal, a MeT official said.

The minimum was recorded at 25.8 degree Celsius, a notch below normal, compared to yesterday's 27.2 degrees Celsius.

Extreme humid conditions made city residents sweat it out with humidity level oscillating between 64 per cent and 92 per cent.

"Till 8.30 AM today 2.7 mm of rain was recorded. After that there has been no rains till 5.30 PM," a MeT official said.
 

The weatherman has predicted light rains and thundershowers in some parts of the city.

The weatherman has forecast a cloudy day for tomorrow and the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 36 degrees and 26 degrees Celsius respectively.
