Police have launched a hunt to nab a woman, who has been named as an accused in the death of former Congress MP S Rajaiah's daughter-in-law and three of his grandsons in mysterious circumstances at his residence here.

Rajaiah's daughter-in-law S Sarika, had in April 2014, alleged that her husband Anil Kumar was having an extra-marital affair with the woman (Sana), and that they had two sons. Sana has now been named as fourth accused in connection with the November 4 case.

Police are yet to draw a conclusion on the exact cause of death of Sarika and her three sons, whose charred bodies were found at Rajaiah's house at Hanamkonda here on Wednesday, and they were probing all angles including suicide and murder.

Following a complaint by Sarika's parents, a case was registered on November four against Rajaiah, his wife Madhavi and Anil Kumar under sections 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) and 306 (abatement to suicide) of IPC, and under section 174 (suspicious death) of CrPC.

All the three, who were inside the house when the four burnt bodies were found on the first floor of the building, were arrested last night after extensive grilling and remanded to 14-days judicial custody and are now lodged in Warangal Central Prison.

The complaint by Sarika's parents also alleged that Anil Kumar was "illegally" living with Sana.

"The complaint also alleged that Sana too was responsible for the death of Sarika and hence she was named as accused number four in the case," Assistant Commissioner of Police (Hanamkonda Sub-Division) Shoban Kumar told PTI.

"Four teams have been formed to nab her. One team went to Hyderabad to locate her but she vacated the house...Efforts are on to catch her," the ACP said.

In April 2014, a criminal case was filed against Rajaiah, Madhavi, Anil Kumar and Sana at Begumpet women's police station in Hyderabad following Sarika's complaint, alleging that her husband and in-laws were harassing her.

Begumpet Women's Police station Inspector Janakamma told PTI today that Sarika had also at the time alleged that Anil Kumar had developed "illegal relationship" with Sana and was staying with her since 2007.
