The bodies of a husband and his wife, suspected to be murdered, were found at their jhum hut near Chhanchhuahna village in the eastern part of Aizawl district today, Aizawl district SP C Laldina said.
Laldina told said Lalrinchhana (45) and his wife Lalzuimawii (42) were working in their farm without going home and slept in the jhum hut since Monday.
Their bodies bearing injuries suspected to be inflicted with sharp weapons, specially on the throats, were found this morning by people having jhum nearby, he said.

Forensic experts were sent from Aizawl with their equipment and autopsy was likely to be performed tomorrow, he added.
In another incident, a missionary working for the Pentecostal Church and his 12-year-old daughter drowned at River Mar near Hortoki village in Mizoram-Assam border Kolasib district this morning.
Sangzuala and his daughter were drowned after their boat overturned in the middle of the swollen river, the police said adding, search for the bodies as on.
