Additional Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna freed North Delhi residents Javed and his parents Gulsheer and Hamida of the charges of cruelly treating the woman and killing her for dowry.
The court observed that the sister and brother of the victim, who had married Javed 17 months ago, had denied their earlier statements against the three accused.
"Both Tahira and Riyaz (victim's sister and brother) have also denied their statements made before the concerned SDM (sub-divisional magistrate) and stated that they did not have any grievance against the accused.
"Since there is no incriminating evidence against the accused... They are acquitted of the offence," the judge said.
According to the police, the victim had fallen from the roof top of her matrimonial house on May 4 night this year and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared "brought dead."
The victim's siblings had subsequently alleged that the accused had killed their sister for dowry, the police had said.
