A man was killed and his wife injured when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
The couple, hailing from Kathua district, were posted at high school in Ramsoo. They were on their way to Ramsoo from Kathua when the man lost control of the vehicle and it fell into a gorge at Magarkote area in the district late last night, Station House Officer (SHO) Ramsoo, M Amin Malik said.
While Rajinder Kumar died on the spot, his wife, Suman Kumari, was injured in the accident, he said.
Suman was shifted to government hospital, Ramsoo where she is undergoing treatment, he said, adding, a case has been registered and investigation is underway.
