Husband-wife duo among 3 killed in road mishap

Three persons - a husband-wife duo and their relative - were today killed in a road accident in Jagtial district, police said.

The victims were travelling on a motorcycle which was hit by a speeding lorry at Nallagonda village under Kodimial police limits in Jagtial district, nearly 45km from here, said Circle Inspector T Krupakar.

"The lorry hit the motorcycle at around 11 am. Rekulapally Krishna Reddy (38), his wife Padma (34) and their relative Satanu Sravanthi (28), who were travelling on the motorbike, were killed on the spot," he said.

The deceased were residents of Tippayapally village.

The lorry driver, Prakash Jaiswal, who hailed from Nagpur, escaped from the mishap site, the police officer added.
