With the arrest of eight men hailing from Mumbai, police today busted a gang which was allegedly selling in black market tickets of ongoing India-Australia cricket Test at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium here.

The Commissioner's Task Force (East Zone) made the arrests.

The gang, headed by Sudheer Kumar Pandey, was allegedly selling the tickets at three-four times the face value, police said. As many as 538 tickets were seized from them.

Kumar and his associates landed in Hyderabad before the Test, and each of them bought Rs 100 and Rs 200 tickets in bulk from various E-Seva centers, police said.

They had black-marketed tickets in Hyderbad earlier too, police said.

On March 1, police picked them up from various lodges where they were staying.
