The Hyderabad High Court today issued notices to the Telangana government asking it to explain under what law and authority did it appoint 23 persons as advisors and conferred on them the status of cabinet ministers.
Notices were issued to these 23 persons as well.
A division bench headed by acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan asked Advocate General K Ramakrishna Reddy about the law which governed such appointments.

The acting Chief Justice directed the registry to issue notices to all the appointees and asked the Government to file its counter affidavit in the matter.
Telangana TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy had filed a writ petition challenging the appointment of several advisors by the government. He also questioned their credentials and competence to hold the posts.
The case was adjourned for two weeks for further hearing.
