Hyderabad: 1,500 police personnel on IPL security duty

As many as 1,500 police personnel will be deployed for looking after the security during the four matches of the Indian Premier League that would be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium here.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand said 'anti-sabotage checks' with the help of eight units of Bomb Disposal Squads would continue round-the-clock until the matches get over.

Two fire tenders would be on the call.

The stadium would be hosting the matches on May 12, May 14, May 18 and May 20.

As many as 58 CCTV cameras would monitor the stadium and the area around it, including the vehicle check points, said Anand.
