GenY Medium, a city-based digital marketing firm, today said it has signed an agreement with the Canadian government to start operations in the North American country.
According to a company statement, the agreement was signed in the presence of K T Rama Rao, Telangana Minister for Information Technology, and Francois-Phillipe Champagne, Minister of International Trade of Canada, at an event of Indo-Canadian bilateral relationships.
The expansion is an outcome of a Canadian delegation's business visit to Hyderabad earlier in 2017, inviting Indian companies to explore business opportunities in the North American country, it said.

"The company's (GenY Medium) plan is to gradually ramp up the team in Canada to about 50 employees over the next 36 months and to serve over 100 brands in Canada, thereby helping them grow their business using igital technologies," said the statement.
Co-founder and CEO of GenY Medium, Yashwant Kumar said, they already serve a few customers and brands in Canada.
By setting foot in the region, GenY will not only contribute to the Indo-Canadian trade relations, but also help SMBs in Canada use digital marketing to grow their business, Kumar said.
The company, which plans to set up a technology- focused digital marketing firm, specialises in healthcare, real estate, education and consumer goods & services domains, the release added.
