Openers Akshat Reddy (99) and Tanmay Agarwal (54) shared a 125-run stand to help Hyderabad post a moderate 403 for six against TNCA President's XI at close on the opening day of the final of the Buchi Babu Memorial Cricket tournament here today.
Put into bat, Reddy and Agarwal played with determination and brought up the 100-run stand in only 22.4 overs.
Agarwal was dismissed after scoring his half-century as Hyderabad took lunch at 133 for one in 36 overs. The visitors added another 105 runs losing two more wickets.
Later, fifth wicket duo of Ashish Reddy and Rohit Reddy provided some stability but the later was dismissed at an individual score of clinical 55 (7x4, 1x6).
However, Ashish and Akash Bhandari 53 (5x4, 1x6) played well to add 104 runs in 16.1 overs for the sixth wicket.
At the end of 100 overs, Ashish remained unbeaten with a 65-ball 69 (4x4, 3x6), while K Sumanth (38) and Sundeep Rajan (28) too chipped in with useful contributions.
Tamil Nadu medium pacer Sunil Sam took three for 166 and B Rahul, Rahil S Shah and Antony Dhas claimed a wicket each.
