Several film personalities are expected to attend the 20th International Children's Film Festival (ICFFI) to be held in Hyderabad between November 8 and 14.
The festival, also called 'The Golden Elephant', being organised by Children's Film Society, India (CFSI), will be hosted by the Telangana government jointly with CFSI and the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
A record number of 1,402 entries, drawn from as many as 109 countries, have been received by the CFSI in various categories, including animation, documentary and short films, a CFSI release said.

"In the forthcoming 20th ICFFI, we have received 179 entries from over 30 countries in Little Directors' section. Of these, 101 are from India and the rest (78) from other countries, so it has got international participation and I am looking forward to showing these creative pieces put together by children from so many countries in the festival," CFSI CEO Dr Shravan Kumar said.
The theme for this year's festival is 'New India'.
A series of workshops and open forums on various aspects related to filmmaking and storytelling would be organised in the festival. These would be followed by Q&A session, which would help children to grasp various aspects of film-making and related fields.
The 20th Golden Elephant ICFFI is a biennial festival that would screen features, shorts, live action and animation films.
