Hyderabad to host international building simulation conference

International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad would host the Building Simulation Conference 2015 (BS2015) from December six.

The five-day event which happens to be the 14th conference of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) is being conducted for the first time in the country, IIIT Hyderabad said in a statement.

About 350 international delegates from over 40 countries are expected to participate while about 275 research and applications papers as well as nearly 70 posters would be presented at the event, it said.

"BS2015 aims at advancing the practice in diverse disciplines of building energy analysis and performance simulation and is set to cater to the likes of people working or learning about the field of building performance including building designers, architects, sustainability managers, researchers and developers," it said.
 

Professor Godfried Augenbroe and Padu S Padmanaban would be the keynote speakers at this event.

Prof Augenbroe has a 35 year track record in research and teaching in building performance simulation and directs the PhD and MS programs in High Performance Building in the School of Architecture at Georgia Tech.

Padmanaban is the former Program Director of the South Asia Regional Initiative for Energy Integration (SARI/EI) and Senior Energy Advisor for USAID/India's bilateral economic assistance programme, it was stated.
