A professor of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI).
Prof M Jayananda, Head, Centre for Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH), has been elected as a Fellow of the academy, according to a release issued by the varsity today.
Jayananda has been invited to attend the 87th annual session of the NASI and symposium on "Basic Research its Role in National Development" to be held from December 8-10 at the Savitribai Phule Pune University, the release said.
He has served as a member in various national (DST, CSIR, UGC) and international (UNESCO-IUGS) science committees, it said.
