HYV leader booked for objectionable remark

An FIR has been registered against state secretary of Hindu Yuva Vahini (HYV) for allegedly making an objectionable comment against a particular community during a Tiranga Yatra at Budhana town in the district on Republic Day, police said here.

A case was registered yesterday against Narendra Pratap Tomar under various sections of IPC, said SHO, Budhana police station, Prabhakar Kaitura.

It is alleged that during the Tiranga Yatra, Tomar has made "objectionable" comments against a particular community, hurting religious sentiments.

The action was taken when his statement was posted on social media.
