Pop star Beyonce Knowles says women should be able to dote on their husbands and children and can still call themselves feminists.
The 31-year-old singer, who will be appearing on the cover of the May issue of a fashion magazine in a midriff-baring top and sequined pencil skirt, said she is a modern-day feminist, reported Daily Express.
"Why do you have to choose what type of woman you are? Why do you have to label yourself anything? I'm just a woman and I love being a woman. If you're attractive then you can't be sexy, and you can't be intelligent? What is all of that?... I don't know (if I'd call myself a feminist).
"That word can be very extreme. But I guess I am a modern-day feminist. I do believe in equality, and that we have a way to go and it's something that's pushed aside and something that we have been conditioned to accept. But I'm happily married. I love my husband," she said.
