I did not violate code of conduct: Preneet Kaur

Replying to a notice issued to her by Election Commission for alleged violation of model of conduct for Lok Sabha polls, Congress candidate from Patiala Preneet Kaur today said there was no violation on her part.

The notice was issued to Kaur, Minister of State for External Affairs, by the Returning Officer over alleged distribution of brochures among people to highlight her achievements.

The notice was issued to Kaur on March 24 on the complaint of SAD nominee Deepinder Singh Dhillon.

The leader said in her reply she submitted that there was no violation of the model code of conduct on her part.
 

The Congress leader said she herself and the people managing her campaign were well aware of the election laws and would ensure that its provisions were complied with in letter and spirit.
