Actor Ruby Rose says she did not relate to being a girl from a young age.
The 31-year-old actor, who is a homosexual and a vocal advocate of LGTBQ rights, said, thanks to celebrities such as Annie Lennox, David Bowie, Prince and Madonna, she identifies herself as gender fluid today.
"When I was really young, my own understanding was that you had to be either a boy or a girl and I didn't feel like I fit the mould of a girl," Rose told Self magazine.

The actor said her breakout role in "Orange Is The New Black" came in at a time when she was confident about her sexuality and she is thankful for it.
"I definitely always keep in mind that what I do is going to influence other people, young or old, whatever, I want to make sure that the person they look up to is the same person that they looked up to in the beginning," she said.
