Pop star Lady Gaga says her desire to be a singer has nothing to do with fame.
The 27-year-old 'Applause' singer, who had to undergo a hip surgery this year, feels the injury gave her time to introspect and realise that she is not in the showbiz for popularity, reported Contactmusic.
"I really enjoyed the downtime because it rejuvenated my creativity and I figured out a lot about myself after the last few years," Gaga said.
"I realised I am not in it for the fame. I don't need to go out and be recognised to feel alive. I do miss being onstage and singing and dancing. I didn't miss getting dressed up," she added.
