Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts has a list of don't dos as a celebrity and that includes not Googling herself and staying away from social media.

Roberts, who will be seen with Meryl Streep in their upcoming film 'August: Osage County', reported Us magazine quoting her Marie-Claire interview.

"I have too much potential for collapse. There's an anonymity that makes people feel safe to participate in hatefulness," Roberts said while recounting her reason behind not Googling herself.

The 46-year-old star, who is a mother of three kids with cameraman husband, Danny Moder -- Henry, 6, and twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 9, says she manages well without being a member of social media, a sentiment echoed by her 'Ocean's Eleven' co-star George Clooney.

"It's kind of like cotton candy: It looks so appealing and you just can't resist getting in there, and then you just end up with sticky fingers and it lasted an instant," Roberts said.

When faced with a similar question, Clooney's reply was equally interesting. He told Esquire magazine: "Why on God's green earth would you be in Twitter?"

Roberts recently presented Clooney, 52, the Stanley Kubrik Award for excellence in film at the BAFTA Britannia Awards recently.
