Comedian Tracy Morgan has revealed he feels funnier than ever after recovering from his horrifying car accident.
The 47-year-old comic actor has opened up about the difficult times following his 2014 accident. Morgan suffered a traumatic brain injury after his limo van was hit by a Walmart truck driver who hadn't slept in 28 hours.
Morgan's close friend James "Jimmy MACk" McNair died in the crash.
While Morgan's path to recovery has not been easy, the "30 Rock" star is convinced he returned from the "afterworld bearing gifts" from his comedic inspirations, reported Rolling Stone magazine.
"Maybe when I was in heaven, Richard Pryor said something to me. I feel funnier than I ever felt."
Following the crash Morgan, 47, who is married to Megan Wollover, 29, admitted that at times his thoughts during his recovery took him to a "very dark place."
"I was sitting right here, contemplating suicide. I couldn't walk."
Morgan's distress at being bedridden following the crash threatened to derail his progress. But thoughts of his family and his now two-year-old daughter Maven raised his spirits.
"It's gonna take more than 18 wheels for me to get out of here. I have to raise my girl, raise my wife, raise my family." Morgan said, going on to say he counts his exotic pets as among the things keeping him going.
